Zhu Keyun is a socially responsible and innovative female architectural student at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, whose work ‘Activating Space - Connecting Communities - Landscape Renewal Design for Underneath the Yufeng Bridge and Subsidiary Spaces
’ focuses on the regeneration of residual urban space and community connections. The work ‘Revitalisation of Space under Yufei Bridge’ uses a ‘linear ribbon’ play landscape to connect all-age functions, integrating fitness, market, art exhibition and other modules, which not only retains the activity habits of the elderly group, but also attracts the young crowd. Through colour zoning and path gamification, the project transforms the fragmented elevated space into a ‘city stopover’ for intergenerational communication, demonstrating the power of space to reconfigure social relations.
