The renovation of the waterfront arises from the idea of giving value to the attributes that, naturally, the town of L’Escala has: its unique geography, the Norfeu Cape, the Bay of Roses, the mountains in the background with the presence of Canigó, the town of San Martí d’ Empúries, the beaches, the ruins of the ancient Emporium city and the nearby view of the seafront, the beach with the Cargol rock, the Port d’en Perris and the seafront.
All this constitutes one of the most beautiful natural amphitheatres in the world.
The project seeks to restore the ancient tradition and culture of a maritime town with great personality and character.
The project reaches, highlights and enhances all these geographical, natural and historical attributes working by absence, eliminating all those elements that distort the quality of the site.
