Daryl Mulvihill

Daryl Mulvihill (B.Arch MA) is an architect with a MA in documentary film. He is since 2012 the owner of DMAU an office for public space design and research based in Amsterdam. Daryl also lectures and coordinates the history of urbanism module at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam.

Daryl has extensive experience in urban design
and strategy projects and with his documentary experience he brings a multidisciplinary approach to his urban research, analysis and teaching.

Prior to founding dmau, Daryl has worked at KCAP, Urhahn Urban Design and MUST. He has extensive experience across all scales of urban design
and strategy. As project leader at KCAP he was responsible for leading teams and successful in a number of international design competitions. At Urhahn he worked on a number of urban strategy documents for Urban Design London.

At DMAU Our work focuses on the public realm or ‘the space between buildings’. We design spaces that have a positive social and environmental impact on their users and surroundings.
