Both born in Lisbon in the year 1969, Catarina Assis Pacheco and Filipa Cardoso de Menezes graduated in Landscape Architecture from Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Lisbon, in 1994. Since then, they have been working together as landscape designers, and in 1997 founded the design studio F|C Arquitectura Paisagista, where they currently work as managing partners. Over the last years f|c has acquired vast experience in many areas, developing projects and studies in a range of dimensions and natures, making each theme a unique challenge.
Their project approach mainly reflects a search for the meaning of the place, exploring the characteristics of each space and based on aesthetic, ecological and functional criteria, seeks to create or reveal new readings of the landscape.
The long list of the works they have produced in the last years in Portugal and elsewhere includes projects for city parks, public spaces, schools, institutional grounds and private gardens. They have also taken part in a range of planning operations and consultancy works, working with several prestigious architects and design teams.
