Restructuring and Enhancement of Tobalaba Park and San Carlos Canal

RESTRUCTURING FROM THE SUTURE
The Project located at Parque Tobalaba, belonging to the commune of La Reina and to the Región Metropolitana of Santiago, is associated and related to the adjacent communes of Las Condes, Ñuñoa, Providencia, Peñalolén and La Florida, so it has an intercommunity character.
The proposal consists of: Restructuring the Parque Tobalaba between Francisco Bilbao - José Arrieta streets, and value the presence of the Canal San Carlos, through the URBAN SUTURE that configures a connected unit and, at the same time, enhances the green corridor condition associated with the birdlife.
The park and the canal will be configured through the following STRATEGIES:
TO ENHANCE: Green corridor associated with the birdlife, Character of each area of the park and its views, Native vegetation.
TO INTEGRATE: The sections of the park and surrounding streets through the development of footbridges, walkways, accesses, and spaces. Users of all condition, Canal San Carlos as a landscape resource to the park.
TO CONSERVE: Vegetation in good condition, Well-resolved sections of the bike path and trails.
TO VALUE: History and Patrimony of the place, Canal San Carlos as a hydric resource.
