The Riverwalk project- A sustainable vision achieves a greenway system that is coherent, circular waterfront connections for communities. An initiative to reclaim and revitalize, a degraded ecology. Water quality &water edge treatment, fostered green infrastructure elements address the perils of climate change. Canals, embankment walls & river’s environment are renewed into healthy greenway system of lively promenades.

Project Narrative

This Ecological greenway system of 62.8 acres has 3.48 miles of new corridors, waterfront trails, car-free environment at river's edge, disaster resilient clearer moat/canal, aerial pedestrian that blend into sustainable landscape.

Vision - Confect an environment to advocate climate changes

Multi-disciplinary synergy achieved an integrated waterfront, to hack the challenges faced due to climate change.

Aiding environmental protection & social equity; the program also includes enhanced community space, mold parks, ferry pavilions, wetland islands, tree houses, willow banks, trails, bikeways, waterfront pathway, river-based resilient & viable topologies.

Regeneration Systems

The unclogged moat, Yongning River & 3 canals are integrated into lotic system that defend against floods. Water transit system & front, nature observatory spaces, nodal intracity connects, walkways &19 bridges are part of the new infrastructure with accessibility to people with disabilities.

Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)

NBS was applied for sustainable management of ecosystem challenges like thermal comfort, urban heat, stormwater runoff. Revived natural wetlands, willow banks, green canopy, bio-Wales, river garden trellises & hydrophilic embankment creates biomes that enhance bio-diverse flora & fauna.
