Hana Georg

Hana Georg is originally from Los Angeles, a drought-prone city that sparked an ongoing curiosity about water in the urban landscape and the socio-economic infrastructure that surrounds it. Hana received a Bachelor of Arts in Feminist Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and later worked as a carpenter in Oakland and an electrician with the IBEW Local 3 in New York City. They have also worked as a radio journalist and documentarian, and as an intern and design consultant for the Gowanus Canal Conservancy. Hana completed their Master of Landscape Architecture in 2019 at the Anne and Bernard Spitzer School of Architecture at City College of New York and was recognized as a 2019 Olmsted Scholar Nominee by the Landscape Architecture Foundation. They currently work as a senior designer in Brooklyn, New York at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates.
