Landscape architect graduated from Greenwich University, London with a Master’s in Landscape Architecture. Worked for EDAW / AECOM on the Strategic Parks Project for the Greater London Authority, and for the Lower Lea Valley Regeneration Strategy for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
She is an APAP Registered Landscape Architect with over 18 years’ experience in large variety of projects from urban and civic, health and education, sports and leisure, residential and master planning projects from concept through to construction.
Among the several landmark projects she has worked upon are: Felgueiras Green Park Masterplan, Requalification of Lourenço Peixinho Avenue in Aveiro, Terminal Intermodal de Campanhã Ecosocial Green Park in Oporto City, Ruby Line for Oporto Tube Line. Also, collaborating on environmental merit assessment systems with greater international recognition, such as BREEAM and SITES.
Rita has also been coordinating an Operational Group (under the PDR 2020 program), with private and public organizations, to investigate the effects of cow effluent on a fast growth forestry plantation, based on a circular economic concern, where biomass will be used to produce green energy for the company use.
