BIAN is an associate professor at the School of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University, with a doctorate in landscape architecture from Tsinghua University and visiting scholar experience at the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology. Her work explores the expansive value of nature-inspired thinking in public space, integrating landscape design, ecological principles, and artistic expression to promote sustainable living through innovative design and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

She teaches courses in landscape design, landscape ecology, and urban studies, and maintains long-term engagement in practice, installation curation, and interdisciplinary research. Her work intersects closely with the fields of art, philosophy, and sociology, contributing to the theoretical and public discourse of landscape and ecology through academic exhibitions, symposiums, and publications.

Her design and curatorial works have been featured in cities such as Washington D.C., Berlin, Taipei, Beijing, and Chengdu, demonstrating the diverse possibilities of landscape and ecological expression. She has delivered keynote speeches at the 28th IAPS Conference in Barcelona and participated in interdisciplinary forums such as the 7th Global Style Forum. Her work has been recognized with awards from the ASLA, IFLA APR, and the Liang Xi Science Communication Award, and was shortlisted for the German National Landscape Award. Several of her exhibitions and symposiums have revitalized public engagement with landscape and ecology, establishing her as a pioneering advocate for green urban renewal.
