ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITION V:CONTEMPORARY GARDEN AND LANDSCAPE

The city of Valladolid presents two great barriers that cross and divide the city. Those two barriers are: the Pisuerga river and the railway line. The intervention is located in the old train workshops of RENFE, behind the train station. The project's main objective is to create a connection between the city center and the peripheral neighborhood of Las Delicias.

The intervention plot is a place sealed by a perimeter wall where several workshop sheds are located. The idea of the project is the fading of the materiality of the industrial to create a connection between the city center and the neighborhood, creating also a landscaped space. The fade is transformed into a large platform that saves the height of the railway line and achieves that connection.
