The new addition to this edition! The IFLA Rosa Barba SDG Award is a joint initiative between IFLA and the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture of Barcelona, designed to give greater recognition to projects that address global sustainability challenges.
The program will recognize 17 exceptional projects, one for each UN Sustainable Development Goal. From poverty alleviation through community gardens (SDG 1) to climate action through urban forests (SDG 13), and biodiversity conservation through ecological restoration (SDG 15).
Improved submission process: 3 key sections:
Your submission will include three dedicated sections to help the jury identify the impact of your project:
1. design issues addressed (17 categories) 2.
2. UN Sustainable Development Goals (select the 17 SDGs addressed by your project): From SDG 1 (No Poverty) to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): clearly identify the global challenges addressed by your project.
3. Key design approaches (7 strategic approaches).
📝 Strategic tip: Mention which SDGs your project addresses throughout your submission. This helps the jury properly assess your project's alignment with specific Sustainable Development Goals and increases your chances of recognition.
