Andrés Escobar is an architect graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), with exchange studies at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. From Guadalajara he directs a studio currently formed by more than 45 architects, dedicated mainly to residential and housing projects, where he has developed a vision that he himself calls introspective luxury: the creation of exceptional spaces based on the material, environmental and cultural conditions of each place.
Over more than two decades, his practice has been consolidated with built work in different cities of Mexico and is currently expanding internationally with a housing project in Saudi Arabia, as well as territorial planning developments in South America.
He has participated in the Pan-American Architecture Biennial, the International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona and in several editions of the Simon Architecture Prize. His work has been disseminated in specialized media and he recently brings together his trajectory in a monographic book dedicated to his residential work, which proposes a dialogue between architectural practice and conceptual reflection.
