Both born in Lisbon (Portugal) in the year 1969, Filipa Cardoso de Menezes and Catarina Assis Pacheco have been working together since they graduated in landscape architecture. In 1997 they founded the landscape design studio f|c arquitectura paisagista, where they currently work as managing partners. Over the last two decades they have acquired a vast experience in many areas, developing projects, planning operations and studies, in a wide range of dimensions and natures, making each theme a unique challenge. The long list of works includes projects for city parks, public spaces, schools and institutional and private gardens. Their project approach mainly reflects a search for the meaning of the place, exploring the characteristics of each territory and, based on aesthetic, ecological and functional criteria, creating or revealing new readings of the landscape.
