Born in Lisbon, 1962, is a landscape architect who graduated from the Universidade de Évora (1979/1985) in 1987. In 1997, João Gomes da Silva founded Global with the landscape architect Inês Norton. Global is an office based in Lisbon often working with leading landscape architects, architects, engineers, designers and artists in projects such as the landscape planning of the Herdade do Barrocal (PT), Parco Tarello (Brescia-IT), landscape for Dellis Cay in Turks and Caicos Islands (with Proap), Salinas Swimming Pools (MadeiraPT), S.Vicente Caves Park (Madeira-PT), landscape planning for the Caparica Coastal area (Almada-PT), Aguieira Park (Viseu-PT), Urban Park in Caxinas, Serralves Park (Porto-PT) and Garcia de Orta Gardens (Lisbon-PT). Global Landscape: Global gathers a group of landscape architects and architects working in landscape-space production based on the contemporary cultural and economic panorama and through landscape design and planning practices.
