Katerina Gkoltsiou has a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Aegean in Greece, a Master in Landscape Architecture from the University of Edinburgh, U.K., and a diploma in Αgriculture from the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. She is President of IFLA Europe (2021-2023), President of the Panhellenic Association of Landscape Architects (PHALA) (2016-present), and member of the Geotechnical Chamber in Greece (1997-present). She was IFLA Europe Vice President of Professional Practice (2019-2021), Delegate of PHALA-Greece to IFLA Europe (2016-2019) and member of the Landscape Committee of Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change (2016).
