LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN AND IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AT PHI SUEA SAMUT ISLAND, SAMUTPRAKAN,THAILAND

          Samut Prakarn is well-known as a Bangkok expansion supporting province in economic, social and industrial sector. On the other side, Samut Prakarn is a city that full of the important history, especially the fortress. Moreover, there is a mangrove forest which is considered as the important carbon dioxide reservoir area of the city.

          In the time of national development, there is a  laying the foundation for accelerate country development, especially in industrial sector, which cause the huge expansion of industrial factories in the city. This situation has an effect on ecosystem and historic site. Besides, it has changed the local people's way of life. At present, the city is being expanded widely and starting to encroach the forest space, historic site and local people's way of life. This situation might cause negative effect on disaster issue, extinction of local animal, as well as the cultural disappearance and local people's way of life in the future.

          Those issues lead to the Phisuea Samut Fort's Landscape Architecture Design and Gentrify Project. This project aims to preserve, rehabilitate and develop resource in the area, for instance, a mangrove forest, historic site and local people's way of life by using sustainable method. In the other words, if there is a good environment, there is a better quality of life. When people have better quality of life, the economic system will develop effectively and sustainably.
