Educated tapestry weaver by Jette Gemzøe, Copenhagen, 1984 – 1987. Graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, Copenhagen, in 1995 Worked at the studio of Professor Sven-Ingvar Andersson, from 1995 – 2000 along­side teaching at the School of Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1995 – 2005. Founder and managing director of own studio - Marianne Levinsen Landskab - since 2002. Has participated in Danish as well as international architectural competitions and won several 1. prizes. Realized projects range from private gardens, design of urban facili­ties, institutions, campuses and renovations to large scale infrastructural installations, master plans and landscape planning. Awarded architectural prizes for both the campus at Copenhagen Business School and the landscape architectural part of the Tietgen Dormitory and won the Danish Arts Foundation´s 1st prize for environmental/public art. Appointed judge in Danish and international architectural competitions and censor at schools of architecture, member of several committees of the Academy Council since 2002 and the editorial committee at the magazine Landskab. Appointed member of the expert committee of environmental/public art of the Danish Arts Foundation 2011-2013. Has taken part in several architectural exhibitions showcasing own projects and engaged in several exhibitions and publications on landscape architecture.
