TOPOTEK 1 was founded by Martin Rein-Cano in 1996 in Berlin, Germany. Lorenz Dexler joined as Managing Partner in 1999 and in 2014 Francesca Venier joined TOPOTEK 1 as our architectural partner. TOPOTEK 1 understands itself as a border crosser - as a traveller within the fringe areas of the different disciplines, typologies and scales. The office is rooted in the context of the design of public urban spaces and the process of developing urban topics, but also undertakes excursions into the conception and realisation of exhibitions and art installations. TOPOTEK 1 projects have been awarded with numerous awards and prizes. Several professional books and articles have been published exclusively on its work.
