"HALKPARK" (PublicPark)

The project area is settled in approximately 100.000 m² and there is an artificial canal is an extension of the river which is called "Peynircioğlu" and also it is connected to the sea.

The main purpose of the project is to create public space which is isolated from "Gated communities" surrounded of the area. It is provided by making sloped surfaces from the canal to periphery of the site. Therefore, the site itself is a threshold within the project.

The sense of isolation is going to be feel more when the trees grow up. The park also intends people who live in these gated communities around the site to go out by providing social space. There are several free spaces like "Democracy Square", "Community chair" and also "Freeboard" within the site that people can express themselves in a free manner. The green pyramids provide an informal use and they also create a physical boundary with the outer space.

The park supports the continuity of the bike lane. Proposed bike lane provide to reach to the waterfront along with the green axis.

The main target is increasing plant species and biodiversity which can be found in İzmir's natural vegetation have low needs but high adaptation and progress.
