Jacopo Gennari Feslikenian was born in Italy in 1986. He studied Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, performing an Erasmus programme at DA/UAL in Lisbon (Portugal). He then moved to Porto to attend FAUP (Faculty of Architecture University of Porto) where he earned a Masters degree “cum laude” in Architecture and Urbanism with a thesis on Strategies for Low Intensity urban development in small islands (“Marginal Territories, the Island of Flores”).
Jacopo performed his traineeship for admission to the Portuguese Boards of Architects in the Center of Studies of the University of Porto CEFA/FAUP in 2014, as a member of a team lead by professor Rui Braz Afonso, working as consultant in urbanism for Belmonte municipality (Portugal).
He is a member of the Boards of Architects (OA) since January 2015. From April 2014 to June 2015 he collaborated with the Territory Dynamics and Morphologies (MDT) research group, part of the CEAU-FAUP (Center for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism) lead by professor Nuno Portas and Manuel Fernandes Sá, developing cartographic production and researching on forms of representation to be applied to territory and landscape.
In 2015 he has been working in Singapore. Then, in January 2016, he moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After a brief experience at Maks studio he joined Openfabric where has been involved in, as a project leader and researcher in the field of Landscape-Urbanism, a wide range of small, medium and large scale projects in Asia, Europe and South America.
Jacopo has been co-teaching the studio ‘XL Feyenoord’ ad the RAVB (Rotterdam Academy) in 2017.
