María A. Villalobos

She is architect from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta, in Maracaibo Venezuela. She holds a Master of Urban Design from the Metropolitan University of Caracas and a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where she received the Annual Award for Excellence in Housing Design on 2004. In 2015, she completed her Ph.D. in Landscape Science and Techniques from the Ecole Nationale Superieur du Paysage de Versailles, France. Maria received the National Award of Architecture in Venezuela for their project: Botanical Urban Landscapes: Lessons from Roberto Burle Marx’s Botanical Garden in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Assistant Professor, Illinois institute of technology. Third years coordinator of the Master in landscape architecture and urbanism.
