The catalogue of the 10th edition of the Barcelona International Biennial of Landscape Architecture, Performative Nature, includes explanations and images of each of the projects selected for the Rosa Barba International Prize 2018, a showcase of the most recent production in both architecture and landscape architecture. Performative Nature emphasized the need to create landscapes to face current threats by playing various roles at the same time: ecological, social and political. The edition paid tribute to Jeppe Aargard, a member of the Rosa Barba Prize jury who had recently passed away, through the exhibition of his projects and the influence of Scandinavian designers on landscape architecture. It also reflected on the 20 years of the Biennial: from its beginnings as a European meeting point to the current dissemination platform for professionals, a showcase of best architecture practices and a meeting point and relationship between students and professionals.
