For the first time, IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architecs) joins with Biennial to offer two more mentions for professional and school participants. These awards answer to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the United Nations (UN). They strive to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and guarantee the posterity of all.
One of the awards is related to the ODS4, quality of education. The goal is to secure education as a basis for improving our lives through sustainable development. Any project submitted by a school may qualify with this distinction. On the other hand, the SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), refers to building and improving our cities to keep the boiling of ideas, commerce, cultures, sciences, productivity, social development among others. This goal fights to gurarantee necessary opportunities (services, energy, housing, transport ...). Every professional project responding to these goals can earn this mention. The financial reward for this prize is € 5,000.
