Faced with a changing immediate future and sheltered from 25 years of experience of our Biennial, a way of arriving at Poetics with criteria other than aesthetic necessity or demand is indicatively proposed with premises such as these:
An idea:
Soon to be 10 years old, at the Biennale, Saskia Sassen surprised us with a speech that now seems premonitory: launching extreme hypotheses, to the dead land that still has a voice (a voice that we have forgotten), where the territory is understood as a complex category ; the landscape as a way of telling a story, with freedom rather than with method...
A word:
Anomaly: The definition itself “refers to a divergence, incompatibility, discordance or deviation from a norm or practice.” This attitude could be the heterodox and critical response of the new landscapers towards a hybrid and complex environment.
