PROF.DSC. PATRICIA MAYA

She holds a PhD (2008) and a Master's (1998) in Urbanism at PROURB- Federal University of Rio de Janeiro- UFRJ, Specialization in Environmental Engineering- COPPE- UFRJ (1991), and Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism – FAU- UFRJ (1988) ). She is an Associate Professor at FAU-UFRJ, professor and current Coordinator of the Master in Landscape Architecture- MPAP-PROURB-FAU/UFRJ. She was a member of the Board of Undergraduate Teaching at UFRJ (2010-2013). head of the Department of Urbanism and Environment (2013-2015 and 2015-2017). She was a professor of the Architecture and Urbanism Course at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1999-2009) and a member of the Brazilian team of the Alfa III/CEE Project – ADU_2020: The restructuring of Higher Education for the 21st century in the expanded field of Architecture (2012-2015). Coordinates the Extension Project “The square, the street and the neighborhood: experiences of participation in the development of urban and landscape proposals” and participates in the research groups “Law and Urbanism in Constituent Social Practices” and Urban Projects and City, at UFRJ; and the group “Àgora”, from UFJF. He has experience in Architecture, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture, working mainly on the following subjects: Urban Landscape, Urban Design and Public Space.
