Tao follows nature: Tianchi Lake Park Planning and Design

This design adjusts measures to local conditions with the theme of “surrounded by mountains and girdled by a river; Tao follows nature”, which is intended to express the “Green Development” idea of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” in order to implement sustainable development of water resources.

Based on Tianchi lake reservoir, the design considers natural vegetation as ecological background. It constructs a complex ecosystem with cleanliness, water-loving, naturalness. It then organically combines functionality of the reservoir and visually enjoyability of the lake, which highlights the design intent of “Looking up at the blue sky, leaning over to see the green water and pushing the window to enjoy the green scenery”.

This design applies abstract techniques to refine the font style of ”Tian (天)” of small seal script, a Chinese traditional character. Its function layout is based on the terraced terrain, which aims to achieve the landscape artistic conception of “Clear water and blue sky surrounded by mountains and girdled by a river”.

This design combines mountains with water, forests with the plateau. It contains rich traditional Chinese feng shui —" Yin and Yang as Vital Forces " to achieve the harmonious development of human and nature.
