Since March 2002 is associate professor of Landscape Architecture in the School of Sciences (Oporto University); since 2004 President of the European Foundation for Landscape Architecture; since 2004 Vice President of the School of Sciences (Oporto University); and since 2000 Member of the Scientific Council of the European Environment Agency, Copenhagen.
