Territori Fragili

It’s a territorial project located on the valley between Oglio and Po, characterised by different kinds of fragilities. These fragilities have led to the loss of cultural, natural, social and environmental identity. Our vision tries to highlight the neglected values of these lands, through the “slow” model of the rural life and practice against the energy-consuming metropolis. The valorisation of the identity through sustainable use of the local resources, territory care and a lifestyle socially shared and healthy. A new structure of connections able to mend and make the fragmented realities of the territory self-sufficient. The project promotes three different strategies:
- to empower the people and citizens about the local identity, to entrench the awareness of the potentialities of the territory, through the development of recreational activities to enhance the local identity and traditional practices and to develop a pilot project merging innovation, education and entrepreneurship;
- to increase the capacity of people to initiate activities in a field of food production, through the conversion of unused buildings into maker-spaces and kitchen-incubator able to help young to develop their food businesses;
- to encourage the dialogue/relationships between the urban settlements, to create a collaborative system between the small and medium entities, through the completion of the urban fringes activating multiple functions serving different land uses.
Each of these strategies is important and they play with different kind of elements: some neglected, some forgotten but they all have strong features and maintain a very strong relation with the history of these places.
