Þráinn Hauksson is an Icelandic landscape architect born 1957, educated in Copenhagen and has been the principal at Landslag since 2007.  His key projects include urban planning, public spaces, national parks and tourist sites. Þráinn has won architectural competitions in Iceland and has received international recognition for collaborative projects like Saxhóll Crater Stairway, Harpa plaza public space and Siglufjörður Avalanche Structures. He has presented Landslag´s projects in Scandinavia and Europe. Þráinn Hauksson is a board member at Iceland Design Fund and was on the boards of The Association of Architectural Firms in Iceland and The Icelandic Association of Landscape Architects.
