Tom is a Chartered Landscape Architect specialising as a champion for design quality in place-making, using the processes of design review, enabling and public art collaborations across a broad spectrum of urban and rural regeneration. As Chief Landscape Architect with Manchester City Council from 1975 to 1989 he led design work on a broad range of work including Castlefield Urban Heritage Park, city centre public realm schemes and major programmes of land reclamation and housing, as well as all landscape aspects of the development of Manchester International Airport.
