Ventspils Amatnieku square

This project is a proposal for the development of Amatnieku square which is located in the historical center of Ventspils city. Ventspils is one of the biggest cities of Latvia, located on the coast of the Baltic Sea and is named after the river that flows through the city - River Venta.
Historical heritage and water bodies are very important elements for the city. Nowadays municipalities tend to forget about our heritage and history and how important it is for our nation. Currently, this territory has become a green transit road, but unfortunately, it looks abandoned and it’s not aesthetically pleasing. I propose to create a pleasant place where people can meet, have recreational time and learn something new about the city they live in. The area would serve as a more enjoyable green transit road.
