As the founder and design director of Z+T Studio, Ziying Tang involved landscape projects with vary scales including parks, urban design, landscape restoration and renovation, which received numerous national and international award recognitions. She believes the landscape intervention of a site is based on the invention of spacial organization, and the innovation of design medium. What the creativity of landscape materials regarding to the time line corresponds technology development and public perception. With Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Design, Ziying received a Master degree of Human Geography from Peking University in China, and a MLA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in USA. Dong Zhang is a 25-years professional practitioner in landscape architecture. He co- founded Z+T Studio with Ziying Tang in 2009, and worked as design director based in China. Situated at the cross-road of the landscape architecture itself and in the increasingly urbanized environment, Dong understands the profession has evolved beyond the traditional focus on aesthetics and gardens, rather a catalyst and engine to encompass and enrich the diversity, self-esteem and self-identity. With strong emphasize on the most basic of nature, through the novel projects, Z+T has ratified its core value of practice – to make connector between nature and community well-being; landscape resilience and social ecology sustainability
