The 'BioPod' is a design concept that aims to connect people with nature through a 360 degree immersive  experience that allows the user to fully engage with the surrounding environment. Adapted from the Stress Reduction Theory conceived by Roger Ulrich, the Bio-Pod allows people who live in highly dense urban areas to access natural space that greatly benefits psychological well-being. It is well known that people who live in highly populated urban settings are more likely to suffer fanxiety, panic and depression. The main function of the Bio-Pod is to improve the psychological well-being androm stress related mental health conditions such as  mental health of populations who do not have direct access to natural environments. Not only does the pod allow users to fully immerse themselves in natural space, but its scale promotes rapid stress reduction and recovery. The idea is that the circular pod can be installed in a variety of existing sites around the city. The Grange BioPod is an example of how the BioPod retrofit can be designed to fit into an existing park space.
