The Glade - a vision of the new city park in Stargard, Poland

The park is designed to offer relaxation and tranquility for active individuals, while providing integration and rest for seniors, youth and caregivers. Its main function is passive recreation and leisure. The program and development of the park aim to integrate the local community without exclusion based on age, gender, wealth, or ability. The park should be accessible to all age groups, including individuals with disabilities. The pathways are designed based on site analysis, with the main path using asphalt for accessibility, while others have crushed stone for a natural feel. A central circular area promotes neighborhood integration through activities as picnics, yoga and community events. The project includes a sensory pathway with composite wood decking, providing a tactile experience of walking, through a flower meadow and offering panoramic views of the park. Plants include birch trees, perennials, grasses, lavender and roses, creating an attractive environment. Existing trees are preserved, and new plantings added. The park features two structures- a hidden building with a toilet and cafe, and a modern restaurant. Both harmonize in design and materials. A hill serves as a viewpoint and recreational area ideal for sledging in winter, accessible to all. Small architecture, lightning, gazebos and loungers enhance the park. A retention pond collects water, and shelters provide habitats for animals. Waste segregation and dog waste bins are included. The project aims for eco-friendliness and visitor appeal.
