Dr. Panita Karamanea is an architect (NTU Athens), a landscape architect (MLA ETSAB UPC) and holds a PhD from UTP ETSAB UPC, specializing on coastal cultural landscapes. She is the founder of TOPIO7, an award-winning practice in urban and landscape design, recognized nationally and internationally. Her work—both professional and theoretical— that explores the intersections of creative landscape methodologies, urbanity and design, has been widely published. With a continuous academic and professional presence, she is currently a professor of architectural and landscape design at the Athens School of Architecture and in the Landscape master’s program of Barcelona, contributing to both theory, research and practice in the field.
