Shen Shixian Studio at the China Academy of Art, co-founded by faculty member Shixian Shen and partners including Yang He, is a research-practice integrated studio rooted in natural landscapes of the land. Leveraging the academy's profound cultural heritage and artistic environment, the studio engages in creative explorations spanning urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, and environmental art. With scholarly rigor and experimental spirit, they craft poetic landscapes belonging to their native soil.
The studio has achieved remarkable accomplishments in scenic area planning, exhibition garden design, rural revitalization, historic urban/garden renewal, ecological landscape research, and Jiangnan garden studies. Their award-winning projects have been honored with prestigious recognitions including the IFLA Awards (International Federation of Landscape Architects), ASLA Student Awards (American Society of Landscape Architects), LI Awards (Landscape Institute UK), and the Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture.
