
PhD Architect and Assistant Professor of Architectural Design and Landscape Architecture in the Department of Civil Engineering, Environmental and Architecture (DICAAR) of the University of Cagliari (IT).
He has also been the coordinator of the International Master in Landscape Architecture and coordinator and delegate for DICAAR in EAAE - European Association of Architectural Education.
His field of research since 2005 has consisted of the rural landscape of modernity in Sardinia, in particular in the Sulcis Iglesiente, which has merged into the "CARBONIA LANDSCAPE MACHINE" project by DICAAR and with the partnership of the Municipality of Carbonia, which obtained the LANDSCAPE PRIZE OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE (YEAR 2010-11) of which he has had the operational coordination.
He took part in the most important scientific events of reference for Landscape and Urban Project scholars such as ECLAS (European Council of Architecture of Landscape Schools) and EURAU (European Symposium on Research in Architecture and Urban) and in the important IFLA World Congress, organized by the International Association of Landscape Architects (AIAAP).
On the topics of urban design and landscape, he is the author of numerous monographic works published for the main national and international publishing houses and he has won international competitions (three times winner of the Europan competition in Italy, France, and Austria, and a second place in Portugal) and national competitions and twice received the Regional Landscape Award.
Actually is a member of GEV (Group of Experts in Research Evaluation) for the discipline of Architectural Design and Landscape Architecture nominated by the Ministry of Research and the University of Italian Government.
