Born in 1964 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is a landscape architect and theorist of landscape design. She graduated in 1990 from the University of Ljubljana, master’s degree in 1992 at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, and Doctorate in 1996 at the University of Ljubljana. She has shown her work in several individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad and won several awards, including the International Piranesi Prize in 1998 and in 2002, and the PleÐnik National Architecture Award 2003. She is a member of the Slovenian Association of Landscape Architects and is active in the Le:Notre network of European landscape architecture schools. In 1998 she published the book Landscape as a national symbol. She currently teaches Landscape Design in the Department of Landscape Architecture of the Biotechnical Faculty at the University of Ljubljana.
