Master in Landscape Architecture
Research and design advance studies
Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
The Landscape architecture program at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is considered as a space for theoretical, methodological and instrumental reflection based on the development of new imaginaries and project approaches to landscape architecture. We aim to understand the landscape as a field that is capable of articulating the ecological, social and cultural dimension of the territory. The final thesis projects in this selection present landscape design exercises that combine multidisciplinary and multiscalar skills. The diverse projects are the result of an intertwining of ecologies, sociocultural logics, and functional dynamics, at various scales of approach. The MAPA proposes a research and project space around diverse territories, objects of cartographic representation and container of multiple constructed imaginaries. We focus on the consolidation of different strategies for the integration of resilient landscapes.
