XIII BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL LANDSCAPE BIENNIAL 2025

From November 17 to 20, 2025, a new edition of the Barcelona International Landscape Biennial takes place, to reflect on how to address climate change mitigation and how landscape can become a primary tool to achieve it. The event will bring together, once again, landscape and architecture professionals and experts in a competition that has become an international reference.

In the 2025 edition, the biennial will be held at two venues:

  • Piscina Barcelona on November 17 and 18, with free and open side events upon registration HERE
  • Palau de la Música, on November 19, 20 and 21, with the symposium at the Petit Palau requiring ticket purchase HERE

The biennial includes the Rosa Barba Casanovas International Landscape Award for the best professional landscape projects, the International Landscape Schools Award, a Theoretical Symposium and an exhibition of the finalist projects of the Rosa Barba Award. During the Biennial, the Catalogue-book of the 12th Barcelona International Landscape Biennial (2023) will also be presented.

Since its inception, the Barcelona International Landscape Biennial aims to deepen and generate debate around landscape, both from an environmental point of view -as a driver of landscape conservation- and through landscape architecture. The search and research in all disciplinary fields linked to landscape study and its evolution is relevant. Each edition of the Biennial revolves around a central theme, a motto chosen according to current issues and concerns, both professional and social, related to landscape.
