Workshop Santa Fe 2019 - “Urbanidad Propioceptiva. Bordeando lo distal y proximal”

Having the obsolescence of the port functions, the social and economical processes, that our society went through, ended updissolving the identity (of the site) and its connection with the city. Therefore, it resulted in the detachment of its physical ontic condition and its simbolic one.

This project pretends to express the phenomenology of the site by following its footprints like a oor production for the city. At the same time, it tries to denounce through evidence of the different, the great cultural, social and economical absences, by exploring the creation of atmospheres for the bond, the memory and the socio-environmental conscienciousness of the city.

The project also raises the empowerment of tangible resources (recovery of sunset and sunrise sightseeings above the river, multiplication of productive land, the increase of public spaces and the afforestation of native species; the pier and walkway are discovered over water) and non-tangible resources (socio-symbolic consciousness of the territory and its productive relationships with the river and the city; socio-environmental consciousness and celebration of diversity; piers facing between the site and Alto Verde, identifying them, re-opening the old bond) as re-conquering strategies, adapting it to cultural, economic and social displacements, without losing its identity, accumulation and cultural landscape.
